Shifting Towards Preventive & Remote Healthcare
American life expectancy is declining due to systemic healthcare failures that prioritize treatment over prevention, particularly affecting younger and middle-aged adults. Recognizing the urgency of this crisis, Alyf partnered with Folio3 Digital Health to develop a cutting-edge software solution focused on advancing prevention, early intervention, and patient well-being.

Project Objectives
A research conducted by Alyf.Health identified a major gap between patient self-care and provider-led monitoring. Why? Because patients lacked the tools to track their health, and providers had no digital means of accessing their vitals in real-time. The main objectives fulfilled by creating the Samsung Watch application and its integration with the providers’ systems were to:
- Get Samsung Watch users closer to knowing more about their health.
- Integrate the users’ health vitals into the provider’s system to facilitate preventive care.
- Minimize chronic diseases by providing access to critical health data.
- Reduce overall healthcare costs through early detection and timely intervention.
Solutions We Delivered
Tracked Parameters
Our primary goal was to integrate health vitals on a centralized platform that could be used for health analytics. Alyf partnered with Samsung Health to sync Samsung Privilidged SDK to tap into overlooked health vitals.
Health tracking marked the first step toward utilizing data for early disease detection and prevention. Vitals, such as heart rate, ECG, and blood oxygen saturation, are monitored to assess cardiac activity; processed in real time or stored for future use, providing timely alerts and preventing strokes or cardiac arrests.
The platform utilized Samsung Watch sensors to track the following health vitals:
