During the COVID-19 pandemic, U.S. laboratories processed approximately 800,000 PCR tests daily. Despite this massive testing volume, fewer than half of providers had automated reporting systems.
Our client required an electronic lab reporting software engine capable of encoding COVID-19 PCR test results in HL7 v2 messages and meeting diverse state requirements.
